When asked about what a dental impant is - Dr Joanthan Abenaim answers: " There are three parts of implant dentistry.
There’s the screw, which is the titanium screw that replaces the root of your tooth.
Once the screw is part of your bone, we attach what is called an abutment or post that screws into the implant.
That is now on top of the gums and we now have something to connect your porcelain crown (prosthetic tooth) to and that’s when we screw the crown in or glue it in. "
Any further questions about this or any other procedure
Traditionally, the surgeon places the screw and the restorative dentist places the abutment/post and crown.
However, at our practice, we do all three of these parts of the implant process."
If you have any other questions about which implants are best for you - ask Dr Abenaim - Your teeth are in fine hands here at Dental Implants New Jersey.

I came to the doctor to get my implants in. I was totally nervous as I always am but the experience was the best I ever had everything was so quick and so totally painless.
